First Aid Memories

We completed the first night of First Aid class tonight. So many things have changed! Of course, the first time I had a first aid course was in 1964 in the caferteria at the Loma Linda Elementery school. At the time Annie hadn't drowned and all we had was an overhead projector to look at.

How time flies: 1968 - life saving class, 1969 - NAUI scuba diving class, 1971 - water safety instructor course, 198something - hazmat and search and rescue, 1984 - Red Cross volunteer, 1987 - fire fighter 1 & 2, 199something - first aid. Each time the information has changed.

During that time two CPR cases were DOA, but the two choking victims were able to walk away. A lifetime of training, a moment of action.
